Mothersday and fathersday I am familiar with most but what about grandparentsday? They have it in Italy, on 2 October to be exact. At schools children make presents for their nonni (grandparents) and here and there they organise a special day at school! Since in rural Itay a lot of nonni live wth their granchildren it seems right to give them the attention they deserve. After all it is often still nonno who does the garden and nonna who uses the products to cook the bambini’s favorite dish with it.
