Pasticceria Sandri since 1860 in Perugia
Along the Corso Vannucci is the best pastry shop in Perugia. Sandri, founded by the Swiss family Schucani in 1860 is a very historic pasticceria. They have been making the best pastries ever since! You will be amazed by its vitrine and its its interior. The coffee and sweets are great to look at and to taste!

Corso Vannucci would not be Corso Vannucci without Sandri. This little bar is very close to my heart. So many memories…. and the same staff for decades. It’s legendary!
Beleive it or not, but it has been closed for months due to the crisis. Luckily it opened its doors again last summer! Let’s hope it’ll work out well for them (and for us 😉 )
I love that pasticceria! Every time I am in Perugia I try to get a treat there. A few years ago we had a New Year party in a small borgo nearby and I ordered a cake in Sandri. I still droll at the memories of it!!
Living in Spello for 10 years, I was shocked to find Sandri closed. Later learned it was under new management. Hope it is as good as the old.

It is still good! The Sacher Torte was outstanding… I am looking already forward to go back to Perugia just for a pastry @ Sandri.
Oh, why did I read this? I am so sad I am so far away! Those desserts look SOOOO good! 🙂
