Shopping at the Valdichiana Outlet Village

Valdichiana Outlet Village

Everyone knows Tuscany for its beautiful landscape and culture. Did you know that amongst Italians, it is also known for its clothing outlets? Around Florence, there are some very big brands that have their own outlet (Prada for example). Closer to Umbria is the Valdichiana Outlet Village in Foiano delle Chiana, near the exit of the A1. The Valdichiana Outlet Village is one of the largest Fashion Outlets in Tuscany.

How to get to the Valdichiana Outlet Village

The Valdichiana Outlet Village is about 30 minutes driving from Arezzo, very close to the Valdichiana – Bettolle exit of the A1 highway. From Umbria, one can easily reach the outlet by car by taking the exit of the SP327 SI-PG Foiano della Chiana – Bettolle. This is the same exit you’d take to go to the A1.

Parking at the outlet village is free. Mind that shopping on Sunday might be very crowded with Italian families. Sunday afternoon is shopping time for many Italians. We suggest to go shopping at the outlet on a weekday or on a Saturday morning.

Extra Information

There’s free Wi-Fi. In the area around the outlet village there are many other restaurants and bars. Besides Italian food you can eat Japanese, Sushi and even McDonald’s.

An afternoon shopping in the Valdichiana Outlet is a true Italian experience and different from shopping in a city. At the outlet they sell products at lower prices and it has a friendly family-like atmosphere. You’ll love it!

Tip!

Do you like some good Italian coffee? We particularly like the Bialetti shop. It has all “Made in Italy” gadgets to make coffee. Here you can buy typical Italian percolators, different kinds of coffee cups and Bialetti kitchen utensils. Bialetti is an Italian brand and may be a good idea if you’re looking for some Italian souvenirs.
